Sporty Sale

Last Tuesday I decided to visit Mondragon House along H.V. dela Costa Street in Makati. They've been known for having brand new sports clothes and shoes in very, very good sale prices.

True enough, I found last season items from Nike, Arena, Adidas, and Puma. Grabbed a purple and green tank top for Php 300++ (originally, it was Php 600++) and a light blue and dark blue halter top for Php 150++ (originally Php 700).

There are a number of athletic clothes, aside from the usual shorts and t-shirts, such as yoga pants and capris but be wary of damaged, stained or mislabeled items. There is no fitting room so you have to come prepared. (Read: Do your homework. Try on some stuff from the stores so you know what size to get when you get there.)

Also, the place is in a state of disarray. Some clothes are hung in hangers while some are stacked in boxes -- unfolded. Think ukay-ukay but brand new and only athletic items.

Shoes are a few hundred pesos cheaper than regular store prices. Size availabilty, however, may be a problem. Brands available are Nike, Adidas, Puma, New Balance, and even some Guess.

There are also bags, socks, towels, bathing suits, towels, and other sports accessories such as training gloves and mats.

Store is open from 11 am until 8 pm, Monday to Saturday.

What A Girl Wants (and Needs)

Went to Megamall last Wednesday and here are the treasures I've found:

Found a pretty little fuschia notebook (Php 60) from Regalong Pambahay. It is made of recycled paper and was tied with a black leather strap on the side. Cute!

If guys have their little black book, I have my pretty fuschia book. I'm making it into my shopping journal! :)

Another discovery at The Black Shop in Megamall. A soft red leather hobo bag that called to me and begged me to "Buy Me! Buy Me! Love Me!" It was on sale at Php 799 (originally it was Php 999). I did buy it and I do love it! :)

I say every girl needs a red bag. Something pretty and hot to lug around when you're having a bad day. Perks up your mood and makes you feel like you're such a fashion maven.

When I commented that I won't get it because I don't have red shoes to match it, L convinced me to get it by replying, "Get it na then get the shoes later. I know you. If you find the red shoes later on, you'll say, 'Ay sana I got the bag!" Hahahahahahaha!

Furry Purple Sweater

Say that 20 times fast and I'll tell you where I got it.

Okay, fine you, you don't have to tell do that. I'll tell you anyway.

I got a lovely, lovely, lovely purple sweater two weeks ago at Terranova for only Php499! A bargain, I tell you! It was originally Php1,999.

I did get raves for it: one from Ms. Becky and another from Kris. It made Ms. Becky say that I am her "fashion idol" and was complimented by Kris when she said I looked good in the sweater. Well, she said something to that effect so, yey!, anyway.
